And I guess that puts us at the end of the disc with "Love Me All Night Long (D.M. Crusin')." It's a game that I've never played, but I got interested in the music once Joe_Cam had made the suggestion to do something from the game. With so many of these K.K. Slider songs, it's odd that I haven't heard an arrangement of any of them. Anyway, I'm cycling through some great tunes, and then I come across 'K.K. Crusin.' I pretty much stopped there because it's a chord progression I loved and it was just so catchy. I also loved the idea of the little dog with the guitar playing songs. I'm still fascinated by the sheer number of compositions that were made for the game, and I passed on the original to Dale and told him to learn it because we had to arrange it. When I got to his place, we had to finish mixing and mastering all of the other tracks for the album. Once we finished that, we started arranging this track, and it was sounding nice, but it wasn't exactly as I had been hearing it in my head. I had gathered a bari sax and trumpet because I was thinking of some sort of mix of Earth, Wind and Fire and Mondo Grosso, so we came to a stopping point and had decided we'd each work on our own mix. A couple of days passed and I couldn't figure out how to get my idea out. So when I got back up there to Dale's we just started busting rumps on finishing the arrangement that he had started a few days prior. I think it turned out to be one of our best tracks we've ever arranged together. We worked incredibly efficiently on it and it just has that Dale & Mustin magic that goes as far back as 'Needles' and 'Team Gato.' And yeah - that's Dale actually singing.
